hike + talk

Whether it’s the view from a mountain peak that helps you see the bigger picture, the effort of a climb that shakes up your perspective, or the calm of a tree-covered trail that makes you feel connected—we talk better when we’re moving in nature.

We hike in the canyons and foothills of the Wasatch Front, from the Point of the Mountain up through Davis County. Favorite spots include City Creek, Emigration, Neffs, and Big Cottonwood. Each trail offers something different—sometimes expansive views, sometimes quiet shade.

What to Expect

  • Session length: 50 minutes, out-and-back from the trailhead

  • Pace & Flow: You set the rhythm—whether that’s a slow walk or a steady climb. When the trail narrows, you choose who leads. You also decide how much to focus on the physical challenge versus the mental work.

  • Difficulty: Typically moderate elevation gain, chosen with your needs in mind

  • Details & Logistics: The evening before an early-morning hike—or the morning of for later sessions—you’ll get a message with the meeting location, parking instructions, and whether bathrooms are nearby. Our clinicians guide the route, but the experience is led by your preferences.

  • Focus: You—not the trail. The goal isn’t peak-bagging; it’s creating space for real conversations

What We Work On
Some sessions are about working through heavy feelings—stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or relationship struggles. Other sessions are about tackling problems head-on—career crossroads, leadership pressure, tough decisions, or the kind of patterns that need a professional listener (and a straight-shooter who won’t let the BS slide).

Wherever you are—hurting, stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready for clarity—we meet you there. You won’t surprise us, and you won’t face it alone. We’re licensed clinicians who’ve seen a lot, trained for this, and know how to help you move forward.

Pricing
Hike + Talk sessions are $240. We’re private pay only, but we can provide superbills for clients who want to seek out-of-network reimbursement through insurance. We accept HSA/FSA.
